Mini Sessions vs. Regular Sessions
Mini sessions are shorter sessions, booked back-to-back in the same location, and offered at a lower rate than a full session. Mini sessions are generally not offered as stand alone shorter sessions for a few reasons: pricing of these mini sessions only makes sense because the work is batched (location scouting, drive time, setup, etc.) and it takes up a date that could be booked by a full session. Mini sessions are often offered during busy seasons to ensure a photographer can give as many clients the opportunity to get photos while not overbooking themselves. For these reasons, mini sessions are only offered on the dates/times on the "Mini Session Offerings" page. FAQ
When will we get our photos?
You will receive an online gallery link with all your photos between two - four weeks after our photo session (sometimes sooner depending on the time of the year). During peak seasons, turnaround time can sometimes take up to six weeks. Once all images are ready you can download the photos from the gallery but also share them, choose your favorites, and also order prints!
Where are you based and do you travel?
I am a North Dallas, Texas based photographer that covers all of DFW, with occasional trips to metro Detroit throughout the year. Yes, I am willing to travel! If you want me to photograph your story, it will require a travel fee depending on the distance and where it takes place.
Do you provide the original unedited RAW image files?
The images in your gallery will be edited to improve lighting, sharpness, color, and other corrections, all of which is a standard process for digital photographers. Therefore, I do not provide the unedited RAW images.
Do you accept credit cards?
I do, however, there will be a processing fee of 5% for all credit card and online methods. Additional forms of payment I accept are: cash, direct deposit, or peer-to-peer transfer (preferably Zelle).
What is the payment and cancellation process?
A non-refundable deposit (amount outlined in contract, dependent upon session type) will be due prior to the session. Full amount is due prior to receiving your gallery. If a session is cancelled more than 48 hours in advance, your deposit can be applied to a future session. If cancelled less than 48 hours prior to session, unless an emergency, deposit cannot be applied to a future session.
*Mini sessions have a different payment/cancellation policy and will be outlined in the contract.
What is the difference between a mini session and a full session?
The main differences are less shooting time, less final images, less poses, and less amount of people. Mini sessions are much more rigid with a predetermined date, location, time slots to choose from, and a planned theme. Full sessions are much more flexible, include a greater variety of poses, and are tailored to your individual needs.
Do you have insurance?
Yes, different venues and events require insurance. My gear is covered and I also have liability insurance.
